Noise characterisation of boilers : results of Boilernoise project about measurement uncertainty

The BOILERNOISE project concerns fuel oil and gas boilers used for hot water central heating of residential and small commercial buildings. It seeks to develop a European measurement method for their noise emission to the room where boilers are installed (sound power characterisation). One of its main issues is to get a reliable value of noise emission in order to allow comparison between products and therefore choice of a comfortable one.
